The facility
Our purpose built pioneering facility is based in the heart of picturesque Northumberland in the North-East of England.
Our manufacturing proficiency is housed in a 17,000 sq. ft. external shell, specifically planned and assembled to meet the high standards required for a clinical trial manufacturer. Our facility allows sterile and non sterile manufacturing, development and packaging within class c (class 10,000) cleanrooms, catering for batch sizes from one unit to around 200kg or litres. Our flexible lay-out enables bespoke packages involving any or all of:
- Six cleanrooms
- An area for handling toxics/potents
- Sterile filling facility
- Aseptic processing suites/isolators
- Inspection areas
- Formulation laboratory
- Range of temperature controlled warehousing areas
- Microbiology laboratory
- Range of packaging areas
- Analytical laboratory and testing facilities
- Freeze-drying (from 2009)
- Cold storage facility
- Clinical trial materials processing and shipping overseas
Even when designing our office space, our objective was clear - to be distinct. This gave us the ideal opportunity to express our creative and more exuberant side. The décor of our reception area and our offices presents an evolving flavour of contemporary art sourced from artists within our surrounding region, demonstrating how science and art do not have to remain mutually exclusive.
